The 3D GIS, Smart Cities and Big Data (yeah, I told you!) space is crowded and confused, so some quality time with our clients is time well spent to simplify workflows and solutions. We will be discussing our ‘information partnership’ with DigitalGlobe and how CartoConsult can ‘3D build’ nearly any city across the globe using satellite imagery and advanced 3D modelling skills as well as digitally capturing other built environment assets.
Since we launched our cloud ‘Managed GIS Services’, our commercially supported ‘open’ GIS offering, requests from clients to migrate have been on the rise. CartoConsult (despite the name) have moved into the Software-as-a-Service business, packaging up our already respected, forward thinking, GIS consultancy, into cloud based software, where we can answer a client’s challenge through digital mapping tools, directly through a browser, in 2D or 3D. Our consultancy isn’t dead, we just make sure we provide the correct mix.
CartoConsult and Land & New Homes Network (LNHN), have agreed a partnership to deliver innovative cloud GIS mapping services to the Land & New Homes sector, and more specifically for the LNHN members. Using CartoConsult’s cloud mapping framework, Carto3D™, phase 1 is developing an internal management network mapping tool.
